Since 1988 Rebuilding Together of Greater Green Bay - with the generous support of many local sponsors - has repaired free of charge hundreds of homes for individuals unable to do so themselves.
The Green Bay chapter of Rebuilding Together is part of a 250-member National organization, based in Washington, D.C. Founded in 1988, we were originally called "Christmas in April." When we moved our "Project Day" to a May date, we renamed ourselves "Christmas in May." In 2004, when our National Association renamed itself "Rebuilding Together," we followed suit, renaming ourselves "Rebuilding Together of Greater Green Bay."
Whatever our name was at the time, we've repaired hundreds of homes in the Greater Green Bay area in an effort to improve the qualify of life for the residents.
Simply stated, Rebuilding Together of Greater Green Bay strives to improve the lives of Green Bay area residents by fixing their homes. One day a year is designated as "Project Day." This date, always in May, sees hundreds of volunteers working together on designated homes. Our services include:
| Landscaping |
Carpentry |
| Painting |
Laying New Carpeting |
| Roffing |
Fixing Plumbing Issues |
| Fixing Electrical Issues |
Installing New Fixtures |
| Windows |
and much more....... |
All of the work is overseen by trained plumbers, electricians and carpenters - all who also volunteer their time.
